The rear-facing child seat configuration should be used around the first 12 months of your child’s life. 1. You can probably remove the top tether fixing point that comes with the child seat. It looks like a big bolt. Unless your car has been in use for more than 15 years, your car may have built-in anchors, so you don’t need it.
2. Choose which side of the car you will place the seat on. Your safest option is the passenger side, but if you have more than one child or are installing additional car seats, then this advice is meaningless anyway.
3. Place the base at the rear of the child seat at the correct angle for your child. There may be stickers on the side to guide you.
4. Remove the stabilizer bar from the front of the child seat (where your child’s legs are), and place the child seat in an appropriate position in the car so that the stabilizer bar is firmly against the back of the car seat.
5. Take out the ISOFIX buckles (they may be hidden somewhere in the child seat fabric; they look like small seat belts. 9. If your car has an adjustable headrest, please raise the headrest and tie the tether to the seatback to ensure it is the most direct path (in or around the headrest post) to the tether point. Install Baby Car Seat Front-Facing
Roll the car seat forward if your child does not look back (usually around 12 months). Children always grow in size, not in age, when they move between steps in a child car seat. All children develop at different rates, and doing the right thing for them is much more important than taking them to the next level just because they are over a certain age. 5. Place the ISOFIX belts on either side of the child seat and click on the ISOFIX belts at both ends. The belt is shaped like a harness and the ISOFIX point (the ISOFIX logo should be displayed to highlight this) is located in the space between the bottom of the car seat and the rear. If the ISOFIX point is not visible, use a seat belt and a safer top belt.
6. Tighten the ISOFIX tape until you see a green line on each strip. Use your body weight to push the chair into place and secure it as much as possible. Once you’ve put on your child’s seat belt, everything is in order.

If your child is taller than the child’s car seat, switch to a convertible seat or a versatile seat for back use. These chairs usually have a height restriction and a higher backrest weight so that your child can support their back longer. If an infant under 1-year-old is too large or heavy for a child seat, we recommend a child seat with a limited backrest in height and weight.

What if my child’s feet touch the back of the car seat?
This is a very common problem for parents, but don’t worry. Children are very flexible and always find a comfortable position in the back seat. Foot injuries in children facing backward are very rare.
What if my child is sitting in or next to the car seat?
Folded blankets can be placed on either side of the baby. Many manufacturers allow a small diaper or cloth to be used between the cruciate ligament and the baby, if necessary, to prevent the cruciate ligament from falling asleep. Do not place pillows under or behind your baby. Also, do not use child seat upholstery unless it is equipped with a seat or manufactured by the manufacturer for the specific use of the seat.
